The Volvo Group is a Swedish manufacturer of trucks, buses and construction equipment. Volvo Cars is a manufacturer of automobiles. Both companies are in Gothenburg but Volvo Cars has been a totally separate since it was sold in 1999. The Volvo Group and Volvo Cars is founded in 1927 by Assar Gabrielsson and Gustav Larson.
